The sequence above describes the typical flowchart of educational development in the United States. The great thing about it is that its linear nature makes it very easy to follow. If we are going to compare these two paths, then a common basis on which they will be compared is required. This basis is found by asking the question: â €Å"What is the purpose of receiving an education?† Since there are many arguable reasons to receive an education, for the sake of this paper we will narrow it down to one: to obtain an employable set of skills in order to earn income. Therefore, the basis for comparison will be which path leads to better financial security in the long run. With this basis set, we can now set the driving question this paper seeks to examine: â€Å"Does the investment in higher education yield a sufficient return to justify its cost in modern America? And if so, will it continue?† Or, to put it more simply: â€Å"Is college worth it?† The most obvious place to begin exploring this question is by looking at differences between two groups: individuals who have graduated college and those who have not. Right off the bat, the data appears to support the commonly held narrative. In 2011, the average person who had received education as far as the 8th grade level was projected t o earn $936,000 during a 40-year span of full-time working (Julian). Titanic I went into Titanic with trepidation: it is being hailed as one of the best love stories depicted on film. Cynical as I am, I dont think much of movies with a romantic theme to them. However, I was curious to see the spectacle that director James Cameron had created. Ahead in that tunnel there was a large hole in the stone floor going down too far to see with a light.It was one of the few spots we had not ventured yet because on a previous tunnel quest we had tossed some rocks down and after watching them bounce their way down beyond the reach of the lights we heard the splash of water from below. The light of the candle was overwhelmed then extinguished as our flashlights came to life and we moved toward the hole to a lower UN-traveled existence. I called for Coda again after we rounded the second corner where the cavern opened up wider, about twenty feet wide by ten feet high and there was merely a two f oot wide ledge that gave access to the tunnel ahead. The rest of the ground gave way to what looked liked the throat of Hell ready to swallow its victims. What I feared was true and we could hear from below the whimpering of a scared friend. I shined my light down the hole and to my hearts content I could see the mall figure of Coda Just at the last reach of my light. Behind me I heard the sound of a zipper as Devon got into the back-pack and pulled out a rope that was always kept in our survival bag. One end of the rope was tossed to Dan and he quickly tied it to one of the ore car tracks running along the floor.We all knew that this time in this mine we would see what lied beyond our view. This was the level we never seen so no since in wasting the trip. The tunnel was about three feet wide by six foot tall. The walls were very damp and the splash we heard was a stream of orange rusty water running right down the middle of the floor. Devon reached the bottom and I directed his attention toward the liquid rust flowing on the floor and the view of the unexplored tunnels in both directions. Our thoughts were on the same tat as usual and we called up to Dan telling him to grab the bag, he had to see this!Upon his arrival we made a mutual decision to travel to the right, the direction the flow was coming from. We followed the flow about 70 feet till the tunnel ended abruptly. The sight at the end was something we had never seen before. The whole back wall was covered with an orange, brown and black buildup that looked like it was oozing out of the wall. From the ceiling there were stalagmites of iron rust hanging down, some of them all the way to the floor. Water dripped from the ends of ACH of them and a stream came from out of the wall and flowed evenly over the rusty buildup there.We took a couple pictures of this unique and different scene that was in front of us. We poked around there for a few and turned down the other way to see where this flow of water was headed. As we passed our rope leading back up the shaft the flow path of water widened on the cavern floor gradually from the 12 inches to 18 inches and 50 feet further it covered the entire floor. We stood there a moment looking down at our boots submerged in the water past our toes. The decline was gradual and within another 100 feet the water was up to our ankles and rising.Coda stayed behind not wanting to get in the water, and 50 feet further we were knee deep in water. Again we all thought the same and decided that we wouldnt go any further with out our inflatable raft and it was time to conclude our adventure and return ourselves to the reality of the outside world and allow the sun to shine upon our skin again. When we got back to the rope and Coda was anxiously waiting to get out so we daisy chained our way back up the shaft, pushing and pulling on him till we crested the top ND pulled our little friend over the edge.After a short rest and the re-coiling of the rope I led the way back toward the outside world. We halted at the main shaft going to the upper levels were there was another opening on the side of the mountain but with careful consideration the decision was made that we had had enough adventure for one day and we should Just head out the way w e came. Around the last bend the afternoon sun burst into view and Coda was making a break for it. I stepped out into the hot afternoon sun and looked to the clear blue sky. I thanked God for keeping us al safe one more time.When Dan and Devon came out we headed down the hillside trailing behind Coda till he spotted a rabbit and took off after it. We never made it back down to that lower level to sail forward and see where it led because soon after that trip something happened in that cave and the county department had blocked off both entrances and posted no trespassing signs on them. Its been awhile now since Ive made the opportunity to travel back to that community and indulge in a again someday soon, I will make the time to experience that thrill again.

If a person does not have sufficient knowledge of a subject then they may not be able to engage with the subject on a meaningful level. Opinion goes with knowledge, all opinions are different. Without proper knowledge of a known subject a person may not have a valid opinion. When assessing situations free will is important as it allows discretion and no constraint. The truth will allow an individual to be confident with their opinion of the situation. The truth may differ from person to person, however an individual must be confident with the truth before making a final decision. Knowledge and opinion go hand in hand, a person just have the knowledge of a given subject to form an educated decision. An individual can still have an opinion, however without sufficient knowledge their opinion may not be valid. Through research it can be determined that there are numerous hindrances to the critical thinking process. The focus for this conversation will be on pride, denial, and wishful thinking. To overcome these hindrances one must swallow their pride in order to resolve a problem. Denial is always a circumstance that individuals will face when they think they are right or have the solution. In these situations the individual is right in their ends no matter what the outcome is. The chance of denial is always a factor amongst peers and co-workers as well as family. Wishful thinking can go hand in hand with denial as this occurs when individuals want or think a solution will solve the problem, however in reality their solution is not even close. Analyzing the information of a problem will help determine if the thought process will work to resolve a situation. A person must have a clear mind and be able to see and achieve the overall good for everyone involved. Critical thinking has no room for any kind of personal wants or gains. In a science class, a typical situation might occur where the teacher talks for two to three minutes then poses a question to check understanding before moving on. An example from a social studies class might be when a teacher asks questions to start a discussion allowing other students to join in. All of these methods have their uses and a complete, experienced teacher uses all three of these in their classroom. Referring again to Effective Teaching, the most effective forms of questions are those that either follow  a clear sequence, are contextual solicitations, or are hypothetico-deductive questions. In the following sections, we will look at each of these and how they work in practice. Clear Sequences of Questions This is the simplest form of effective questioning. Many forms have come into style over the years from jazz drumming to metal-core drumming. Drumming has changed over the years from its equipment to the styles people now use. Drumming is one of the most primitive ways to create music and it has been around for eons ever since man could hold a stick he has been hitting it against some other object. The Africans have been using drumming for a long and they still use today just for about everything, it is used for ceremonies and some even use for finding food. Back in the revolutionary war drums where used to help the soldiers walk in time for when they where marching it was also used in combat to help them over come the fear these where know as war drums. Eventually man started to use drums with other instruments to come up with more types of music such as Jazz, Swing and some of the more modern rock and blues all use drums. Over the years there have been many famous people in the drumming industry from all types of music. Some great examples are Danny Carey, Jimmy Cobb, Blake Richardson and one of these drummer are well know for there bands there in and the styles they have developed over the years of play ing drums. Now Danny Carey is from the band called Tool and is know for is very off the wall random timing drumming which is very hard for other drummers to follow when they listen to his music. Metal drumming originated from both the swing and jazz style of drumming, which are some of the earliest forms of drumming. Most, if not all, metal drummers train in some version of jazz and swing style when taking lessons. Metal has always incorporated jazz and swing to help them become great drummers. Jazz helps by adding more fluidity to drumming, while swing helps with speed, precision, and foot speed. Otherwise referred to as CT, coiled tubing is a manufactured product used in field operations such as well service, workover applications (petroleum industry well work), and drilling and completion applications. Just as is sounds, CT is essentially a continuous tube with a diameter of .75 inches up to 4.5 inches that is reeled onto a spool, which has a core diameter of approximately eight to twelve feet. The tubing is made from rolling strip metal, usually a carbon based steel, into cylindrical form and weld along its entire length. The longitudinal weld is made using a high-frequency induction electrical resistance method. The welding process produces a small amount of weld flash on both the inside and outside of the tube. This is removed from the outside diameter of the tube after welding by a carbide cutting tool contoured to the diameter of the tube being produced. The weld vein is instantly re-heated to re-crystallize the w elded zone to match the grain composition of the base metal. So in other words, you have this extremely long steel tubing coiled up like a garden hose on reel without any visible end welds. The entire length is non-destructively inspected, then gauged and hydrostatically tested to assure the pipe meets customer specifications prior to shipment. A single spool can carry an average length of approximately 15,000 feet but have been fabricated up to 30,000 feet depending on the diameter of the tubing. Tubing continuously wraps and unwraps over its spool and over the tubing directional arch (â€Å"gooseneck†) as it goes in and out of the well. This bending and straightening causes an extreme amount of wear and tear. This process is known as cyclic bending and along with the internal pressure may result in a life expectancy of less than 100 cycles. Another downfall is the tendency for the walls to thin, thus increasing the diameter of the tubing as cycles increase. Tests have shown up to 30% increase in the diameter. This plastic type growth is sometimes referred to as ballooning. This effect is worse on the tubing that does not rotate during deployment and the walls thin more on one side that the other. Elongation is another effect that results from the forces of fieldwork, with reports stating up to ten feet of permanent elongation per trip!
